Accuton C90-6-078 Ceramic Midrange

The C90-6-078 is a midrange drive unit featuring an ultra hard ceramic (Sapphire) 90mm diaphragm in a 130mm square chassis.

The diaphragm profile is quite shallow and essentially is best viewed as a large inverted dome with the dispersion advantages of such. Precision cut apertures provide critical damping of the 8 kHz resonance.

An  FEA optimized overhung motor design with 38 mm aluminium voice coil former guarantees low energy storage and excellent heat transfer.

Also featuring a low loss fabric surround and a thin fabric spider to center the moving parts with high linearity, this exotic unit is a superb midrange driver for hi-end applications.

We recommend an application from 200 Hz – 5000 Hz.
