SB Acoustics midwoofers have a unique driver code system and as there is quite a wide range of models we have put together this chart. The nomenclature is quite simple once you know the variables:
| CAC: | Ceramic cone, vented cast aluminium chassis. |
| CRC: | Carbon fibre / Rohacell sandwich cone, high airflow cast alloy chassis. |
| MFC: | Mineral loaded polypropylene cone, high airflow cast alloy chassis. |
| NBAC: | Black aluminium cone, high airflow cast alloy chassis. |
| NRX: | Norex cone (composite paper / fibre), high airflow cast alloy chassis. |
| PAC: | Aluminium cone, vented reinforced polymer plastic chassis. |
| PFC: | Paper / pulp cone, vented reinforced polymer plastic chassis. |
| SFC: | Paper / pulp cone, vented pressed steel chassis. |
| COAX: | Paper pulp cone + soft textile dome, vented reinforced polymer chassis. |
| SFCR | Hard paper cone, racetrack style steel chassis. |
Using the above chart we can find the details for the following example: SB17CRC35-4 = SB 17 (chassis size, cm) CRC (cone / chassis type) 35 (voice coil diameter, mm) 4 (ohms impedance).
The Satori range use a similar system however as they share some common components (such as the high airflow chassis and neodymium magnet assembly), the model codes are simpler:

| PNW: | Proprietary cone material with EGYPTIAN PAPYRUS™, Natural White |
| TX: | TeXtreme® biaxially oriented thin ply carbon fibre cone |
Example: MW16TX-8 = Mid Woofer, 16 (chassis size, cm) TX (Textreme cone) 8 (ohms impedance).
