This 20mm (3/4") soft dome tweeter offers a unique analytic capability and higher sensitivity than OW1-92. A very musical and true to life tweeter! With textbook impulse response / recovery, maximum detail resolution and pair matching to within 0.5 dB, this esoteric unit projects a sublime stereo image. Excellent for use in high-end 3-way loudspeaker systems; also a great choice for 2-way systems using wide band mid-bass drivers of appropriate quality. The OW2 was designed primarily for domestic loudspeakers but is also used to high acclaim in studio monitors because of its very low distortion, analytical response and very close pair matching.
Great frequency linearity between 3 – 20 kHz, rising gently upwards - works very well in 'dead' rooms containing lots of heavy furnishings / drapes. Extremely fast transient response and excellent phase linearity. This esoteric tweeter exhibits a well controlled and damped resonance / low frequency response and gives a wide useable bandwidth of 2 kHz to 22 kHz, nominal –3 dB. Unique heavy duty 2.5mm solder bucket connectors - Hiquphon connection guide
Supplied as matched pairs to within an incredible 0.5 dB 2 kHz—20 kHz (individual graphs included), each pair is thoroughly tested before being signed off by Oskar Wrønding, the founder of Hiquphon.

I bought the ow2's to replace the original 30+ year old 2008's which were still sounding good. Having already upgraded my pre and power amps with Avondale Audio's offerings and brand new passive crossovers I had little doubt that yet more improvements could be made by replacing such old tweeters and I was not disappointed. It is a have to re-listen to all your favourites again kind of upgrade. Every instrument sounds better but it's the tiny sounds that are more apparent, defined and more in there own space. Yes these tweeters are not cheap but I reckon they are the best available for the SBL's, thank you Willy's for making the purchase possible, easy and quickly. Andy.
Thanks for the review Andrew !

I am a big fan of the linn range of speakers , particularly the Keilidh and Kaber models . They are well designed and extremely well constructed. Anyone thinking of taking the step on this tweeter upgrade I would say do not hesitate.! I have a passive pair of Kaber with the 3bar Linn mk2 tweeters and these are generally accepted as a decent improvement over the early ceramic versions. These OW02 Hiqufon went into my active pair of Kaber and they are in a different league in my opinion!! I am a returning customer to Willys Hifi and always get great service, items arrive on time and well packaged. Thanks for being the go-to website when it comes to thinking about my next project or upgrade! Regards Ianpop.
Thanks for the review Ian !

Hi Will
Removing the old tweeters went very well your tip to use a hair dryer to warm up the glue help a great deal. Soldering the wires went without any problems and they sound great very pleased.
Thanks again for all the advice and tips to replace them myself.
Best regards
Chris Flynn

Bought to replace oe scanspeak tweeters that had cracked surrounds. These surrounds fell apart on removal. Damage to wood in photo wasn't me. Active SBL Mk2 driven by a pair of 250DR.
Naim cabling in speaker box is 4mm so I tinned the ends then filed down to fit the buckets. Cables soak away heat so I had to use a 100w soldering iron. Gasket fitting and **** back easy.
Sound is much more open and natural. As mentioned in another review the bass is inexplicably better defined.
Thanks for the review Diccy !

I have the last version of Aktiv Kabers and changed to these tweeters around a year or so ago. Simple to fit and a direct replacement. They suit the system very well and sound much cleaner than the original 3 bar tweeters. Very happy with the sound now fully run in.
Thanks for the review Dave !

The crossover was constructed well, I just need to figure out the best way to attach it to my Kef Concertos as they are bigger than the ones supplied by Kef that are mounted on the front of the baffle board.
Very nice deep bass look amazing with my custom made speaker
Great speedy delivery and very easy to fit. The plastic in my drivers had perished and they had suffered one too many parties! No need to make any adjustments (someone above did suggest that). I just screwed them in and the foam compressed into place. Before and after below (before I changed speaker number 2). Thank you!
Thanks you very much for the kit. I found back my kelidh after nearly 27 years. The filter were really dead and one tweeter damaged. Very happy to decide to repair/ upgrade rather than change. I found back tone and stereo stage like in the old days probably even better.
I didn't know soldering material was so important thanks for providing some.
Quite easy to recap filter and change tweeters.
Also wanted to thank you for this little note hand writen in French just for me. Very nice attention to see.
Next step is the next question do I change first the drivers with the monacor as I ve lost dust caps but they still work properly or do I change my old arcam alpha 8. Is there really something to gain moving to an newer arcam sa10 or Radia a5? Are newer amplifier much better than the old days one?
In addition to my post from 17/11/2025, here is some information on the final status of the project: Saving the Mission 752 loudspeakers.
Once it was certain that it would be possible to revise the loudspeakers (thanks to Willy), the desire to also replace the low-midrange drivers and convert the crossover to a high-quality version quickly arose. I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase two Burmester 949 MKII midrange drivers from Audax to replace the existing low-midrange drivers (52LFHDA – still available and can be sold). They are practically identical in design, but significantly more refined and powerful. Revising the crossover proved somewhat more difficult because the values of the coils were not printed on them. However, they can be determined by measuring the originals. Mundorf resistors, coils and capacitors of the two highest quality grades were installed. These are not exactly cheap, but once the speaker is finished, the difference is clearly audible. The crossover was also modified slightly. A shunt was integrated into the high-frequency branch. Following a tip in a forum, the crossovers were also moved to the outside. They are currently still on the speaker without a housing. The metal housing provides perfect shielding. As the Willys tweeters are very efficient, they were ‘damped’ slightly. The final cost of the conversion was approximately £600. In return, the speakers now perform at a level that far exceeds their original condition. An exciting project that was only made possible by Willys – thanks to Caroline & Will ❣️
