DRIVE UNITS BY MANUFACTURER:
Morel MDM 55 Midrange
The Morel MDM 55 is a hybrid 54mm (2") soft dome midrange drive unit from the Classic series. This hand assembled unit has a low resonance of just 380 Hz and a wide linear bandwidth, the response between 2-5 kHz is flat ± 2dB or better. This unit has a very compact square faceplate allowing close spacing of drivers.
Features include an Acuflex hand coated soft textile dome, 54mm Hexatech aluminium voice coil, a vented hybrid mixed magnet assembly and a critically tuned and damped aluminium rear chamber.
Power handling is excellent at 200w nominal, 1000w peak. As usual with Morel products, design and build quality are top notch.

Excellent advice from will as usual and exactly what I wanted. These have improved the sound of my current speakers and taken them to another level. Sounds superb I can hear tonal difference's between things that I never heard before. Superb bass drivers dig so deep.
As usual will has been outstanding.
Brilliant to deal with always helpful and gives great service.
What a brilliant capacitor, from first listen exceptional clarity and depth. Bargain will be buying more.
Swapped out the 30 yr old AlCap capacitors for the Audyn Q4 on Wills recommendation (along with a ferrofluid change). What a difference, added so much more definition and clarity. Very impressed. Audyns are a fair bit bigger size wise but fitted easily enough on the board and the access aperture on the TDL Studio 1's.
Good quality, fast postage, perfect! Thanks
Can fault the service and you always seem to have what others don’t, this can be critical when your hobby involves restoring vintage hifi .
