Scanspeak D2905/970000 Tweeter - Classic Range

The Scanspeak D2905/970000 has a high power handling of 225W and a frequency response to above 30KHz. Features include a hand coated 25mm soft textile dome, an airflow optimised copper capped pole piece and a tuned rear chamber with an integral resonance damping plug.

This tweeter also benefits from the Scanspeak SD2 'Symmetrical Drive' system incorporating a copper capped and sleeved centre pole piece;  this effectively forms a very low impedance shorted turn (called a Faraday ring) within the magnet circuit, the net result being that the voice coil impedance remains largely constant across it's operating frequency range resulting in a more linear output with greater top end extension.

This is a highly advanced design with a sweet, detailed sound. Found in many high-end designs and is a top choice for DIY high performance loudspeakers.
