Fitted two sets to my B&O speakers. Installation with a 7mm hole was straightforward. Tip is to use a 45 degree chamfer once hole is drilled to allow fertile to be screwed in without damaging the surface grain. Very pleased with end result.

I bought two Dayton BST-1 units just to have a go at bass shakers, thinking I'll sell them on shortly afterwards. I had no hope of the effect being anything but gimmicky and I assumed it would become annoying relatively quickly, especially if the rumble was audible. I fitted them on two pieces of hardwood that I bolted onto the bottom metal frame of my sofa, one unit under each seat.
Now, two weeks later, I can't understand how I managed for so long without having bass shakers in my AV life. It's simply fantastic. I connected them in series to a Fosi Audio TP-02 subwoofer amp, itself fed by an AVR. It took me a little while to balance them properly and eventually found it easier to set the crossover on the AVR side, which was ok since my amplifier has discrete subwoofer outputs. Once set properly, the integration is truly striking. Not only the bass shakers make no perceivable noise whatsoever but they vibrate differently depending on the signal they receive. Watching Earthquake (with Charlton Heston), the vibrations made the disaster scenes incredibly realistic: the sofa started shaking as if the earth was moving! Th explosion at the beginning of Die Hard 3 hit quite hard, I felt it in my whole body. Yet, bullet and shell impacts from Fury feel very different, brief, sharp, without any lingering. Truly striking. Engage the subwoofers as well and the combination is absolutely fantastic and incredibly immersive. Disengage the subwoofers when the kids are sleeping and you still get the feeling that somehow they're still on, but without shaking the whole house. Remarkable. Yes, I know I'm a geek but now I wonder why it took me so long to even try them... Incredible when watching films, excellent when playing games. I wasn't so convinced when using them whilst listening to music, but that's just me, so don't let that put you off.
Finally, a word about Willy's Hi-Fi. Another striking example of: 'how come it took me so long to find you?'. I emailed at 10am to ask some questions about the BST-1; Will responded about 90 seconds later. I placed my order around 11am and received my parcel less than 24 hours later, perfectly protected by competent and conscientious packing. Willy's Hi-Fi will now be at the top of my go-to list whenever I'll be needing some new gear.
Groovy!

Quick delivery despatched same day of order .
This speaker was purchased to replace the old 15 inch driver in a Realistic MACH2 which had been stored for 30 years and the rubber surround had disintegrated.
It is a perfect replacement for the original in fact it gives more bass and enhances the overall sound . Everything has been replaced on this speaker, including internal wiring , crossovers mid range speaker & terminal connectors on the rear. The only thing that remains is the original Tweeter.
The Dayton now gives a speaker really smooth base and I’m loving it even more than my B&W 802 d3 . Can’t recommend it enough and a good price too .
