Bought these from willys as direct replacement for my mission 732 mid/bass drivers.minor fettling needed,nothing major,all fitted now and gently running them in with my old faithful arcam alpha6+ amp,let the get used to each other and slowly over time turn the gain up,sounding good at the moment,cant wait to turn it up london!

Happy with the purchase of these capacitors to replace some ageing electrolytic caps in my trusty Kef speakers (tweeter section). I placed a Mundorf M-Resist 0.82 ohm resistor in series to match the ESR of the original Licon non-polarised cap to maintain the Kef sound. Thank you Willys Hifi !

I’m restoring these old Realistic Mac 2 speakers that were stored for over 30 years and all drivers internal wiring and crossovers needed replacing .
The cost and the quality of these tweeters stupidly outweighs the speakers value, but I really wanted to do a high-end Tweeter for it. It was a gamble spending £500 whether it would give me what I wanted but it certainly did . It gives a wonderful detailed sound and is far more engaging to listen to than the B&W diamond tweeters in the speaker behind it.
I also purchased the Dayton Audio 15 inch woofer and I’m very pleased with that as well. This has totally transformed my old friends.

Decided to take the plunge and upgrade rather than replace… so glad I did very simple to fit even let my 13 year old have a go at soldering one of the caps (under careful supervision) took about an hour a speaker and wow what a difference!!! All round improvement thank you

Great from start to finish.

Just did the passive + capacitor upgrade on my 30 year old Linn Keilidhs. Took less than 2 hours total. Still breaking them in but I can already hear a big difference. The mods opened up the sound considerably. Eliminated the muddiness of some music I was hearing before. Not sure what did more the caps or the tweeters as I didn't test in-between. Very pleased with the upgrade.

Not easy to finally find replacement acoustically transparent foam for my old Castle Clyde speakers. Might ahve been good to have the sheet cut to size , but still a great step to restoring them .

I bought this driver because it was rated up to 2KHz. I have it paired with a big Horn and 2" Horn Driver. Both the Accuton and the horn are crossed over at 1.5KHz in my custom built tower speaker. They are bi-amped using two 45 watt tube amplifiers. The combined sound is very rich and smooth with superb imaging, the sound is so rich you can almost touch it. The Accuton has good, musical sound but it does not have explosive bass, at least at modest volumes.

I also have an Outlaw sub, but no sub can provide the musical bass lacking in some speakers. Eventually I plan on including a larger 10" Accuton Cell in parallel on the same 1.5KHz low pass circuit. It will be to supplement the 8.5" with a little more impact. These will be five to six thousand dollar speakers, cost to build, not retail.

The (first?) picture is of my protype tower speaker. It is made of 3/4" MDF. The second pic is of my Klipsch that I am using as a testing stage. The second prototype that I build will have the Accuton up higher as close to the horn as possible. I listen to the music standing up and having the drivers at ear level renders the best sound, impact and imaging. The imaging is superb even at different locations but of course there is one sweet spot where it is the best.

Used to replace the OEM caps in the LF path of crossover in a pair ofWharfedale Diamond 9.1s. Great upgrade and improvement to performance, measurably and audibly.

Willys are always prompt and efficient - with a pleasing selection of solid product.
In this case - I was surprised they still carry stock of what I thought was quite a rare part.
I'm happy they did.
