The Fountek NeoX3.0 features Fountek's third generation ribbon technology. This larger sized design incorporates an increased surface area ribbon mounted in an aperiodic shallow horn resulting in an improved low end response / wider useable range with higher power handling than its predecessors. The 12x80mm ribbon is made from an ultra light (36mg) multilayer aluminium sandwich with a cross section of 0.015mm (approx 0.6 thou). Efficiency is high at 95dB.

The end tensioning clamps form a substantial heatsink for the low impedance ribbon and an impedance matching transformer is built into the back of the housing for ease of application.

We recommend a minimum crossover frequency of 2kHz / 18db octave.
