DRIVE UNITS BY MANUFACTURER:
Morel EM 1308 Midrange
The Morel EM 1308 is a high-end 54mm (2") soft dome midrange drive unit from the Elite series with a 130mm IDR aluminium faceplate. This hand assembled unit has a low resonance of just 320 Hz and a wide linear bandwidth 700Hz-5kHz, making it an good choice for a broad spectrum of designs such as high quality 3 way systems with 8-10" woofers & 1" tweeters. The response between 2-5 kHz is very linear ± 2dB or better.
Features include an Acuflex treated soft textile dome, 54mm Hexatech aluminium voice coil, a vented Neodymium magnet assembly and a critically tuned and damped aluminium rear chamber.
Power handling is excellent at 200w nominal, 1000w peak. As usual with Morel products, design and build quality are top notch.

Replaced faulty Studio 0.5 drivers with these. Had a wobble about the fit so called to confirm details and had superb advice. Recommend both the drivers and Willy's!
I've been repairing a set of vintage speakers (Rogers JR149's) and honestly, I wouldn't have been able to do it without components and parts from Willy's Hi-fi! Thanks for the help and advice as well!
Quick shipping and high quality cloth. Very easy to work with and sticks well with contact adhesive. Very pleased with the final look!
Thanks to Will for advising on a replacement for these classic Arcam speakers from the early 90s. Good value and quick shipping. This was a small restoration project on this sealed box design - these now sound punchy, crisp and clear and really fill the room. Tweeters seem to still be breaking in as the detail and imaging just keeps getting better! Looking forward to coming back for parts for the next project!
I needed to renew the foam fabric around my JR149 loudspeakers. Age and UV light had caused them to start disintegrating - not helped when one of our cats decided to assist with her own paws!!
Googled and up came Willy's details. I confirmed that I needed two of the "large" sheets and paid by Paypal. Order promptly dispatched and JR149s cosmetically restored!
