    Very nice indeed

I paired these with a Vifa/Peerless XT25 tweeters (there is a review on the tweeter) and was mildly surprised and pleased with the result.
The aim was to find a driver that could fit in a small cabinet and not sacrifice too much bass response, these fit the bill perfectly.
Took a while to get the crossover right, but once that was sorted, these really do have a nice sound, Better than nice in fact. I ended up with an incredibly flat response and a very pleasing articulate clean sound. Nothing stands out and nothing is missing.
Do these need a sub? Yes if you really want to delve into the depths.... But with a bit of room gain, (get them closer to the walls), these still sound controlled and smooth and would make a perfect small stand mount or even studio monitor.

I am not aware if these drivers are a replacement for anything out there, but as a DIY speaker, they are very good and easy to mount as they already have a nice beauty ring.

At some point I'll get round to trying the 5" and 8" versions...... :)

    Thanks for the review !
