DRIVE UNITS BY MANUFACTURER:
BST-1
Categories: New Arrivals !
The BST-1 is a rugged high power bass shaker module designed for mounting on gaming / racing simulator chairs, under car seats and advanced home cinema applications. The sensation of tight subsonic bass it produces adds a level of realism to music, games and films that has to be felt to be believed. The BST-1 is essentially a high power bass transducer mounted inside a sealed rugged alloy enclosure that acts as a substantial heatsink. Can be used singly, in a stereo pair or in a multiple array for more extreme effects. Cable ties can be used for mounting but ideally the BST-1 should be firmly bolted for maximum transmission; the better the mounting / mechanical coupling the higher the amplitude and impact of the output.
This is a very versatile unit that can be discretely mounted virtually anywhere that you sit and listen including being mounted on the frame of your sofa. As the BST-1 operates on the principle of tactile transmission it is not affected by the room size or acoustics. Electrical connection is very easy via spring loaded binding posts.
An ultimate addition to any high end gaming, home cinema or car audio system (must be mounted inside the vehicle). The vibrations radiate through your body, it's almost like being at a concert with very tight and dynamic bass - it certainly shocked us !
This is a passive item that requires an amplifier ideally with low pass output i.e. sub out. There are some manufacturer suggested wiring examples in the pictures.

Excellent upgrade, works perfectly with the speakers it's just soldier and play, they takeaway the over intensity of the original tweeters.
I've had my Mission 734s for about 30 years and for the last five or so the bass units have been falling to pieces. I was about to take the speakers to the tip, but didn't have the heart knowing how capable these used to be. I did a little internet research and these Monacor replacements appeared to do the job. Next day delivery from Willys was impressive, as was the killer sound once the replacements were fitted (which was a simple job). I'd forgotten how these speakers make the windows rattle. Very happy customer!
Excellent service from Willys-Hifi. Caroline was very helpful and patient when answering my queries. Please be aware that some soldering is required when connecting the tweeters. Something I haven't done since I was at school over 40 years ago! They do sound good though, listening to Smoke on the Water as I write , wow 😆
thx you so much for helping me geting the twiters for my speakers i hope all good for your bisnis in the futur and that it will never close i recemed you to the norwigen hifikluben its a store in norway for parts and hifi so you brobely will get order from ther now thx agine for the parts btw you need to put a bit of fome on the back side of the speakers for it to mount in the b&w cmd1 se to make them fit i will leave som pictur of the istalsjon
I always knew that Linn should never have stopped using Hiquphon tweeters. What I don't know is why it's taken me thirty years to fit a pair in my old Kabers. It's often hard to describe sonic character ....but to pinch Linn's old line from back in the day ...they're Simply Better.(even straight out the box with soldering iron still warm)
As my Kabers are passive,I had been a little concerned that the the 8 ohm nominal impedence of the OW1 would mess with the crossover slope. I needn't have worried....if its shifted the crossover point its much for the better.
Warm thanks also to Will and Caroline for a service in keeping with the outstanding quality of the Hiquphon product.
