The Fountek NeoX2.0 features Fountek's third generation ribbon tweeter technology. This medium sized design incorporates a larger surface area ribbon mounted in an aperiodic shallow horn resulting in an improved low end response / wider useable range with higher power handling than its predecessors. The 12x60mm ribbon is made from an ultra light (27mg) multilayer aluminium sandwich with a cross section of 0.015mm (approx 0.6 thou). Efficiency is quite high at 94dB.
The end tensioning clamps form a substantial heatsink for the low impedance ribbon and an impedance matching transformer is built into the back of the housing.
We recommend a minimum crossover frequency of 2.3kHz / 18db octave.
