Accuton C220-6-222 Ceramic Bass / Midrange

8.5 inch 6 ohm Ceramic Bass / Midrange. Neodymium magnet, high efficiency.

The Accuton  C220-6-222  Bass / Midrange is an esoteric 8.5 inch drive unit primarily intended for 2 and 3 way floor standing loudspeaker designs.

This high end driver features a ceramic (Sapphire) cone and long throw soft rubber surround. The large Neodymium magnet and 55mm titanium voice coil former yield a high efficiency of 93dB with very low distortion levels whilst maintaining excellent midrange resolution. A high peak maximum excursion of 12mm ensures high sound levels without stress or loss of accuracy.

The spider, pole and voice coil former are fully ventilated for minimal compression and the low reflection diecast chassis has excellent strength. This driver has a substantial power rating of 150 watts.
